Python Job: Website Content Manager-Data Specialist

CareersPortal.ie is Ireland’s leading careers guidance website for people of all ages planning and researching their education and career options. We currently have an opportunity for someone with a passion for providing high quality accurate information and has the data management skills to organise, manage and maintain several of our databases on an ongoing basis.

The role will suit someone who has a good understanding of databases, has an excellent knowledge of Excel and is a good writer with exceptional attention to detail. We collect data from a number of authenticated sources and experience in the use of software to automate/collect data is an advantage.

You would be working alongside our communications and web development teams to optimise content generation and delivery.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly organised and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Tasks:

• Research and compile information on courses, occupations, labour market trends, and salary data from existing sources.
• Liaise with industry and education experts to maintain up-to-date information on trends and developments.
• Coordinate data collection and scheduling from key data sources and ensuring accuracy of data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
• Hands-on data management / technical skills in database use (e.g., MySQL), automation and some coding experience is preferred (e.g., Perl/Python/Java/R).
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel for data management/analysis

Useful to have

• Good working knowledge of the Irish educational system
• Knowledge of recruitment and selection processes
• Experience with Google Analytics

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: €28,000.00-€35,000.00 per year
